东北地区土地辽阔肥沃，矿产资源丰富，工业基础雄厚，农业生产条件优越，旅游资源独特。东北三省人民勤劳智慧，改革开放和加快发展的愿望迫切强烈。振兴东北等老工业基地是我国新世纪新阶段全面建设小康社会的重大历史任务，在以胡锦涛同志为总书记的党中央领导下，以“三个代表”重要思想为指导，全面贯彻党的十七大精神，经过各方面坚持不懈的努力，东北老工业基地一定能够焕发青春活力，再造新的辉煌。
