蔬菜遗传育种专家方智远

    方智远Fang Zhiyuan(1939.9.3-)蔬菜遗传育种专家。出生于湖南省衡阳县。1964年毕业于武汉大学生物系。中国农业科学院蔬菜花卉研究所研究员、原所长，北京市科协副主席、十届全国政协委员、“十五”“863”计划生物技术与现代农业领域专家组成员。

    长期主持甘蓝遗传育种研究。1973年与课题组成员突破甘蓝自交不亲和系选育技术育成我国第一个甘蓝杂交种“京丰一号”，1979年首次发现甘蓝显性核基因雄性不育材料并带领课题组于90年代突破甘蓝雄性不育系选育技术。主持育成不同类型甘蓝新品种20个在全国各地广泛推广。种植面积约占全国甘蓝面积的50%，获国家发明一等奖一项、国家科技进步二等奖二项；发表科技论文80余篇，主编或参编著作15本，培养硕士、博士生20余名。

    1995年当选为中国工程院院士。
