新型农村合作医疗制度让农民看得起病

    江西省吉安市青原区村民刘海根今年患心脏病住院，花了6万元的医药费。按照新型农村合作医疗的规定，他在当地卫生部门报销了1.2万元。“我交10元钱参保，居然能报销上万元，这在过去几乎是不可想象的。”刘海根激动地说。

    今年以来，我国积极推进新型农村合作医疗制度。前三季度，开展新型农村合作医疗的县(市、区)达到2448个，覆盖面85.53%，参加人口达7.26亿人，参合率85.96%。“新农合”基金本年度已筹集353.26亿元，累计受益超过2.63亿人次。

    卫生部部长陈竺表示，为提高农村居民的保健水平，我国政府正加快推进覆盖全国农村地区的新型农村合作医疗制度，加强农村卫生服务体系建设，改善农村卫生服务设施，提高农村卫生队伍专业水平，研究推广农村卫生适宜技术。
