四川上调城市低保标准帮助困难群众

    记者从四川省政府获悉，为确保物价上涨后城市低保对象的生活水平不下降，四川省决定从8月起上调城市低保补助标准，原则上在现行人均低保补助水平基础上增加不少于15元。

    今年上半年，四川省物价指数上扬。四川省政府提出，适当提高低保对象的补助标准，切实保障低收入群众的生活水平不下降。根据这一要求，民政厅、财政厅等部门研究并报省政府同意，决定原则上按现行人均补助水平基础上不少于15元增加补助，并相应调整城市居民最低生活保障标准，新的补助标准将从2007年8月起执行。

    截至今年6月底，四川省共有城市低保对象166万余人，低保平均标准为163元。提高低保标准以后，预计将新增低保对象3万人左右。
