1996年，公司以部分固定资产作投入与世界500强、位居世界食品饮料业第六位的法国达能集团等外方合资成立五家公司，并坚持合资不合品牌，由中方全权经营管理，一次性引进外资4500万美元，先后从德国、美国、意大利、日本、加拿大等国家引进大量具有九十年代世界先进水平的生产流水线，通过引进资金技术，发展民族品牌，娃哈哈再次步入了高速发展的快车道。
