中国国际家电展每两年一届，中国国际家电展-北京2006是自1992年首次举办以来的第八届，凭借着广大企业和业内人士的支持、展会主办方中国家电协会在行业中的广泛影响和组织国际会展的丰富经验，加上北京的首都优势，中国国际家电展在前八届中吸引了众多国内外知名企业前来参展，参观展会的国内专业观众也逐年提高，同时，还吸引了以中国为采购基地的国际连锁机构及采购商的关注。中国国际家电展-北京2006共有300多家国内外企业参展，几乎囊括了所有活跃在中国家电市场上的知名品牌，展会观众达3.5万人，境外参观者主要来自日本、韩国、菲律宾、美国、英国、德国、意大利等国家。
