打造“珠三角东部产业基地”

充分利用"全国电子信息产业基地"、"中国男装名城"、"中国照明电器品牌基地"等区域品牌，抓好工业园区和专业镇建设，把惠城区的电子信息、纺织服装、灯饰照明三大产业发展成为粤东片区乃至珠三角东部的主导产业基地，力争五年内全区区本级工业总产值翻一番，突破1000亿元大关，主导产业比重占80%以上(2006年三大行业共占60%)，全区制造企业总数由现在的近600家增加到800家。
